The story follows 16-year-old Tiger Tolliver, who discovers a stack of mysterious “URGENT” letters in her mother’s bedroom. This discovery makes her question the very controlled and close relationship she has always had with her mother, as well as the secrets surrounding the father she has never met.
While dealing with everyday teenage struggles—school bullying, her band Broken Cradle, friendships, and a developing crush—Tiger’s life becomes increasingly complicated. After a serious event shakes her world, she begins to see things differently.
She then embarks on a personal journey to find her father, understand her mother, and ultimately discover her own identity, in a story filled with emotional growth, revelations, and forgiveness.
