Huck Finn is a young boy who runs away from his abusive father and his strict “civilized” life. He meets Jim, a runaway enslaved man, and they travel together down the Mississippi River on a raft. During their journey, they face many dangers and meet dishonest people who try to trick them. Huck slowly learns to see Jim as a real friend and begins to question the racist beliefs of society. In the end, Jim gains his freedom, and Huck decides he wants to live freely rather than be “civilized.”
