Penny is moving to the city and has to leave her friends and her beloved dog behind. One day after school, she finds an abandoned puppy in the park. The little dog is tiny, neglected, and very, very scared. Penny soon finds a name for her new friend: Socks. But her new apartment is too small; there's no room for a dog. Now Penny has to find a suitable home for little Socks as quickly as possible.
