In the final volume, Aomame and Tengo are finally reunited after being separated in the strange parallel world called “1Q84.” Aomame is in hiding after killing the leader of a cult, while Tengo remains connected to a mysterious manuscript and supernatural events.
A detective named Ushikawa investigates them and gradually uncovers their connection, but he is killed before he can report his findings. In the end, Aomame and Tengo find each other again and decide to leave the “1Q84” world together, though uncertainty remains about what is real.
