Set during the Second Sino-Japanese War in the 1940s, the story follows Wang Chia-Chih, a young student recruited by a Chinese resistance group. Her mission is to seduce Mr. Yee, a powerful official collaborating with the Japanese authorities, so that the group can assassinate him.
As she adopts a false identity and successfully enters his life, her role as an undercover agent becomes increasingly complicated. What begins as a calculated act of espionage gradually turns into a psychologically intense and emotionally ambiguous relationship.
Wang Chia-Chih becomes caught between her political duty and her personal feelings. The boundaries between manipulation, desire, and loyalty blur, leading to a tragic outcome where the mission and her emotions collide.
