Uncle Karl and a group of children are at home when they receive an urgent phone call from Alaska. Berta Black needs help because bears are in trouble. The animals are facing problems in their environment, and Uncle Karl travels with the children to Alaska (in some versions by hot-air balloon) to help solve the situation. During the adventure, they also encounter unexpected problems like thieves, making the journey more exciting.
