Two very different families meet at Baltimore airport while adopting baby girls from Korea. One is the Yazdan family, an Iranian-American couple, and the other is the Donaldson family, a typical American suburban family.
Despite their cultural differences, they form an unexpected friendship and begin an annual tradition to celebrate the girls’ arrival. Over the years, their relationship deepens but also faces tensions, misunderstandings, and emotional challenges as the children grow up and the adults struggle with identity and belonging.
