The story follows Ian Bedloe, a teenager from a seemingly normal Baltimore family whose life changes after a tragic chain of events caused by a misunderstanding he feels responsible for. After confronting his brother about suspicions regarding his sister-in-law’s relationship, his words indirectly contribute to his brother’s fatal car crash and his sister-in-law’s suicide.
