Carter and Sadie Kane, two young magicians descended from ancient Egyptian pharaohs, continue their training while facing a growing threat: the chaos serpent Apophis, who wants to destroy the world. To stop him, they realize they must awaken the sun god Ra, the only deity powerful enough to defeat Apophis.
They establish a magical headquarters called Brooklyn House and begin a dangerous quest to find the three scrolls of the Book of Ra. Their journey takes them to dangerous places and forces them to battle enemies from the House of Life, the organization that opposes them.
Along the way, they receive help from gods like Bes and struggle to control the divine powers of Isis and Horus within them. Although they do not fully awaken Ra, they make important progress and prepare for the final battle against Apophis.
