The Borrowers

The Borrowers tells the story of a tiny family called the Clocks (Pod, Homily, and their daughter Arrietty) who live secretly under the floorboards of a human house. They survive by “borrowing” small items from humans, which they adapt for their own use. Arrietty is curious and adventurous, and she eventually meets a human boy. Their friendship puts the Borrowers at risk, since humans must never discover their existence. When they are finally found out, the Borrowers are forced to leave their home and escape into the unknown world to survive.
