Clyde and Magreb are two vampires living quietly in a lemon grove in Italy. Unlike traditional vampires, they no longer drink blood and instead survive by sucking lemons to ease their constant thirst.
Over time, Clyde becomes emotionally dependent on Magreb, who is more independent and gradually distances herself from him. Eventually, she leaves him, and Clyde is left alone.
His isolation causes his violent instincts to resurface, and he harms a young girl working in the grove. After this, he searches for Magreb but cannot find her.
