Juliet Armstrong, a young woman, is recruited by British intelligence (MI5) during World War II. Her job is to transcribe secretly recorded conversations of suspected Nazi sympathizers. However, she soon becomes involved in a deeper world of espionage, deception, and hidden identities.
Years later, working at the BBC, Juliet tries to live a normal life, but her past in intelligence continues to haunt her as the consequences of her wartime actions resurface.
